Andy Warhol's "The Grand World," Paris
We devoted a great deal of time to researching this project, which gave us the opportunity to immerse ourselves deeply in the world of Andy Warhol. Working closely with the exhibition curator, Alain Cueff, we explored the typographic aesthetics of 1960s American advertising and industrial design, the artist’s various color combinations, and the recurring use of specific aspect ratios in his works. This research and experimentation allowed us to propose to the Grand Palais expressive graphic solutions rarely used in the design of such public exhibitions: format, colors, and positioning of artwork labels; the use of a chromatic concept within an already highly colorful exhibition; and original typefaces from publications of the era.
