the german-cuban graphic designer and sociologist works on applied visual systems in social spaces of both physical and digital nature. she creates concepts with powerful visual languages that can simultaneously display and communicate complex content.
her approach is an anthropological perspective assuming that designers are able to work with a socially responsible mindset and to help shape transformation processes with the tools of representation and visualization. danielle perceives design as a craft and form of expression that enables to apprehend existing knowledge and to actively (co-)design living environments.
since 2015 she has worked as a freelance designer, among others at integral ruedi baur and civic city network in paris and zurich, anschlaege.de, zk/u berlin, kw institute in berlin, integral jean beaudoin in montreal, new museum new york.
in 2017 danielle began working with adeola naomi aderimi at distinguished diva – a platform for women from the african diaspora.
in 2020 she co-founded the transdisciplinary design studio visual intelligence. danielle rosales engages in knowledge transfer in consultations, conferences and lectures.
